Has the addition of Floyd Landis changed the dynamic of the team and how you approach it?
Well he won the Tour in the past, so it raises expectations across the board. But it is also very motivating, to have that talent.
Have the team’s objectives changed at all for the 2009 season?
Win bike races, that has always been the focus. Keep it simple and clean. Just win.
What exactly is your role for the team, especially before, during and after races?
Planning travel and logistics before the event, then taking care of the athletes at the races themselves; strategy, information from team car, etc..
What other cycling teams have you worked with in the past as a DS?
I started the Victory Brewing Women’s Professional Team. Then I was DS with Health Net/Maxxis
What teams did you race for, and what results did you achieve as a racer?
My racing career was short lived due to the fact that I got ill with Ulcerative Colitis in my teen years. I found myself falling into the management role very quickly after trying to pursue racing while ill.
What are your interests outside of cycling?
Well this is a tough one due to lack of time during the season. Usually my couch is calling my name once the travel days are over.
