OUCH Presented by Maxxis and UnitedHealthcare team up for Phoenix ride and wellness event July 18
Floyd Landis, Rory Sutherland and Roman Kilun will join with team sponsor UnitedHealthcare for a group ride followed by a health and wellness event this Saturday in Phoenix, AZ.
The three team members will lead a 33-mile group ride from the South Mountain Cycles in Ahwatukee, which is open to more experienced riders who are comfortable riding in larger packs.
The ride will be followed immediately by a Health and Wellness Meet and Greet, where members of Team OUCH presented by Maxxis will share racing tips, sign autographs and answer questions. Health experts from UnitedHealthcare will also be on hand to discuss the importance of physical fitness and its connection with improving our nation’s health care system.
The whole event is intended to encourage Arizona residents to get fit and learn about how to live a healthful lifestyle. Plus, with the Tour de France in full swing, the ride and wellness event provides Arizona residents a unique opportunity to meet and ride with TdF veteran Landis, as well as Sutherland, who participated in the Giro d’Italia several years ago.
The ride is scheduled to depart South Mountain Cycles at 6 a.m., a rather normal departure time for the locals, given that the starting temperature will already be in the low 90s, headed for a high of 112 degrees. The ride is scheduled to finish at 9:00, with the Health & Wellness event beginning at 9:30.
Expect sunscreen and liquids to be very popular items at the event.

My daughter is so proud to have been able to take a picture with you. We cherish those memories of meeting you. Ypu are a fine person and God is with you in all you do.
